Introduction

Almost two years ago, our beloved Ewan Howell released one of the most widely used plugins in Blockbench: Custom Minecraft Title. This plugin allows users to generate titles identical to those created by Mojang.

Today, I will walk you through its features along with its latest icon update. Let's get started!

Installation

First, you need to install Blockbench or use its web version (Blockbench Official Website).

Once inside Blockbench, go to File > Plugins > Available and search for Minecraft Title Generator.

Basic Usage

Once the plugin is installed, go to the main screen of Blockbench and select the Minecraft Title option.

This will open a pop-up with the following options and their functionalities:

Letter Editing

Once the title is generated, you can take a screenshot and export it as a PNG. However, if you want to give it a more unique style, you can modify the position of each letter by selecting them individually.

If instead of modifying the position, you want to add another letter, go to the right sidebar and look for the Outliner section. Below it, click on the icon with the "Tt" symbol. This will open the previously mentioned pop-up, allowing you to add multiple title instances within the same scene.

Icons

Recently, the plugin was updated to allow adding icons to your titles.

To access this feature, open the pop-up again and go to the Shape section at the top right (its icon is a cluster of shapes like a heart, square, and triangle).

Within this section, you will find the following options:

As you can see, these options are similar to those for editing letters, but they allow us to add icons to our titles.

Exporting

To export the title, click on the three-bar icon at the top right. In the menu that appears, select Screenshot Model. This option allows you to export your title and its icon as a PNG file.

If instead of exporting, you want to save your progress, go to File > Save Project. This option will create a .bbmodel file in your directory, which will store the 3D model along with its texture.
